My name is Kayla and I am the owner of THE STUD!O. I have also taught art lessons as a special guest in some of the elementary schools in Springfield. Some of my favorite art classes to hold in my studio are children’s art classes. However, I do not want finances to be a barrier to entry for children wanting to take a paint class.
According to the US Census Bureau, 15.2% of children living in Lane County, OR lived in poverty in 2022. I believe that the financial situation of a child’s parents should not prevent them from access to the arts, something they are already lacking in school. Even in my own son’s elementary school, there is no art teacher like I remember growing up with.
Beginning August 20th, I will be hosting a monthly FREE art class for children. I have a dream of being able to do this weekly with the help of generous sponsors like yourself.
Below are two options to sponsor a child’s free seat to my Painting Class. By either making a monthly pledge or a one-time donation, you could help support a child’s creativity, give them a safe space to make new friends, and take a financial burden off a parents’ shoulders.
